2019 has come! 2018 was another artful year. Here are some highlights. Thanks for your kind interest.
Art and painting are with me every day. Most everything I see becomes a vision of composition, execution, and presentation. For me, it is a delight to experience the world in this way. Special thanks are extended to my old Cal State Long Beach faculty colleague, Betty Edwards (author of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain) for adjusting my eyes and to all the other artists upon whose inspirational shoulders I stand.
The magazine, Colorado Life, gave me some very nice press in March. Thanks especially to Kjersten Johnson and Joshua Hardin for the superb job of crafting the informative article about my art.
Being one of six Colorado artists to be featured in the international magazine, Southwest Art (September 2018) made me grateful that my art was being appreciated on such a broad platform. Staff writer, Lindsay Mitchell, skillfully brought order out of chaos and produced the succinct story of my art. Lindsay, you’re a wonder! Thanks!
Each year, I try to grow artistically by taking lessons from another accomplished artist. In 2018, it was with the acclaimed Utah landscapist, Kathryn Stats (assisted by the delightful Marcy Bailey) at the Sedona Center for the Arts (Arizona). For 2019, amazing Canadian painter, Mike Svob, invited me to join him and others to do some helicopter painting (viz, heli transport to remote locations) in the high Canadian Rockies between Banff and Jasper National Park. I can hardly wait to be there next August!
I’m flattered by and grateful for the continuing sales of my paintings to you all; thank you for your support.
